RTH, a casual dining restaurant holding commendations of Financial Times and Myanmar Property Awards 2015, is located on the grounds of downtown Yangon.
The restaurant serves an all-day menu with a focus on local product, high quality ingredients and regional flavours. Co-founder Htet Myet Oo puts his forward-thinking twist on traditional Myanmar dishes – the result is food that is both modern and wholesome.
The space houses contemporary Myanmar design, fused with colonial touches. There are French accents such as the use of Thornet bentwood chairs, mixed with locally sourced vintage wooden chairs. Nothing is rudimentary nor from one school of thought of design principle; It is the master of mixing and matching to convey one complete concept to showcase Myanmar architecture and design that is often based around stringent ideologies such as ‘neoclassical’ versus ‘minimal/ modern’.
